Join us for a unforgettable trip up to Port Gore to visit our friends at Go Dive Pacific for a weekend of diving on/in the one of the best wrecks in the world!
We run these weekends one - two times a summer season. With the aim of taking a group of local divers to explore the Mikhail Lermontov Shipwreck. This is a great option to explore the south island and meet like-minded individuals.

Driving from Kaikoura Go Dive Pacific's Lodge is 5-7 hours away up to the top of the Marlborough Sounds. One day is spent getting there, one full day of diving and then the last day after the dives in the morning we make the long journey home to Kaikoura.
Open Water Divers are welcome to join but penetrations will not be allowed. Enquire about an option of doing your SSI Advanced Open Water Diver, SSI Wreck Diver or SSI Deep Diver during the weekend!

Go Dive Pacific have operated in the Marlborough Sounds for over 40 years. Based in Port Gore, a very scenic drive from Picton or Blenheim, we have one of the world’s biggest cruise liner wrecks sitting only five minutes boat ride from our Dive Lodge and only in 14m to 35m of water. This is a not only a bucket list wreck dive, but also an amazing underwater reef with a huge representation of temperate water fish species.
All dives are guided and suitable for confident open water divers. Our Dive Lodge offers home comforts with home cooked meals, the lodge is surrounded by a working sheep and cattle farm and native rain forest. For those who want to increase their diving experience and knowledge, an ideal way is to complete your Advanced or Specialty training through a combination of dives with both Dave's Diving Kaikoura and Go Dive Pacific. Wreck, Nitrox and Deep are three specialty options we can recommend during your stay with Go Dive Pacific. To complete your Advanced Open Water Diver you then can also complete Navigation and Night/Limited Visibility Diving in Kaikoura. We cater to both individuals and groups, ensuring a personalised experience for every diver. Equipment hire is available on-site, and our knowledgeable instructors
