Come see what happens to our ocean during dark. 

Enjoy a beautiful sunset while we gear up and surface swim out to our chosen dive site. As you descend you will be descending into the dark. Kaikoura turns into a completely different world. ​Many of our usually curious fish species disappear for the night and the crayfish come out and search for food. You may see octopus hunting, bobtail squid and scorpionfish. All out in search of a meal. After surfacing we hope for a clear night as the Kaikoura night sky is full of stars and makes the surface swim back spectacular.
