Become apart of the Dave's Diving family and join us for a season of learning, workshops and assisting the team with day-to-day operations. This program is designed for an individual whom is looking to join the SCUBA industry.
​Prerequisites​
The great aspect of this program is that if we can take you from zero to hero! As this is an unpaid role we ask for a work exchange for training. Help us out at the shop and we will help you. However, depending on your current level of experience the hours and SSI fees vary.
SSI Fees: $1800
Work Exchange Hours: 160 (8 - 10 hours a week)
Duration: 20 - 22 Weeks
Start Date: 1st of November

​What is involved
Being a small team at Dave's Diving an extra pair of hands goes a long way. The work we ask of you would be along the lines of assisting our operations manager with daily tasks. These are and not limited to; cleanliness of the shop, equipment care, customer service, equipment rentals, fitting out clients with dive equipment and social media. You will get a great insight to what is takes to operate a small family owned SCUBA centre with hands on experience. As we will invited you to shadow us as we take on essential tasks of the business.
Throughout the season we will get you to tag along on dive tours and courses expecting you to help out the team running the operation. With our team you will learn how we keep people safe, comfortable and ensure they enjoy their experience. With the required courses and time spent with us in/out of the water. Our goal is to ensure you have what it takes to safely lead a group of divers as a SCUBA professional.
