​Continue to grow your diving skills and take on 5 different styles of dives. Dive to new depths and take on new challenges. This program unlocks more dive sites and earns you one dive towards future specialty training. We will take you past 18m depth, show you what diving is like after the sun goes down, improve you orientation/navigation underwater and improve your buoyancy.

The advanced programme is designed for you to explore your next steps in continuing your learning. Each of the 5 training dives is extracted from an SSI specialty. Here at Dave's Diving the advanced open water diver consists of dives from the following SSI specialties:

• Deep Diver

• Navigation

• Night/Limited Visibility 

• Perfect Buoyancy 

• Waves, Tides and Currents

If you have particular specialty you would like to do instead please reach out and we can arrange something different!

Day one is entirely shore-based. You will be taken through a handful of buoyancy techniques and put them to the test with some fun challenges. Your navigation skills will improve as we take you through important applications that may assist you with managing variables. Then we will end the day with a night dive and you will see how different the environment can become as we teach you how to safely dive in the dark. Day two we head out on our vessel Mana and this is where we take you beyond your original 18m (60ft) limitation. Using safe planning techniques and feeling the effects of depth we will take you to 30m (100ft). Then we finish the program with a dive in a dynamic environment covering the importance of an DSMB and all it's uses.

 

Our mission in this program is to have you develop your SCUBA skills we a fun set of challenges related to the specific specialty course.
