The Kaikoura community is supportive and we hold the responsibility to open avenues to get our township involved in the realms of diving.

Kaikoura Explorers!
Encouraging and teaching our local tamariki!
The SSI SCUBA Explorers Program offers the creativity to teach and encourage youth aged from 8 years old. We have taken on a few awesome groups of keen Scuba Explorers to learn all about diving!
They have learnt all about diving skills, techniques, rescue scenarios and how important our ocean is and how to protect it.
A BIG thanks to Sport Tasman and the Tu Manawa for the funding to kick start development of this program.
Get in touch! We offer this program to groups of 6-8 tamariki and conduct this program at least once a season!
Kaikoura SCUBA Club
Keeping our locals involved by making diving accessible
We offer seasonal club memberships to those who reside in the town.
$300 sign up fee

Giving the community a go!
Every seasonal opening of the Kaikoura Aquatic Centre we offer try dives too all at the pool.
We operate this event for free! The only costs to those who wish to take part is the entry fee for the aquatic centre and we ask that you give some koha to the coastguard.
A wonderful opportunity for adults and child alike to try SCUBA for the first time! Or even come have some fun in the pool!
